AION GAME REVIEW 2022

If I take a picture of the personality of a hardcore gamer, the picture comes to mind in two moments. 1. Streamer who specializes in e-sports titles and first person shooters. They spend their days shouting at the microphone, thanking followers for donations and donations. 2. Gamers who grind results for hours at a time no longer have the real world, and all that matters is the online kingdom, and the lineage they now call their family. Think of South Park and the episode: Love, not Warcraft. That image is metaphorical nails on the head.

I’ve flown between both states, but now that I’m comfortable playing small games, I’m hiding behind the defenses that my typed reviews give me. MMORPG trends rarely cross my path, because I don’t enjoy them, no, it’s the lack of time that I can invest.

The MMORPG trend has certainly grown rapidly over the past few years, with the expansion of successful establishments as well as the introduction of at least two new triple-titles each year. As the market grows, so do the standards by which these games are measured. Players have come to expect features that they have seen in other MMOs and do not think that these features were released a year after the games were launched. The fact is that they have them now, so these new games are better for them. Two weeks ago, NCSoft’s latest MMORPG Aion was launched amid much publicity and anticipation. By all accounts, the game has so far relied on this expectation, and although the MMO gaming community has proven rather agile in the past, this continued enthusiasm is good for it.

Aion is an MMO that tries to give something to everyone and succeeds in it, albeit to varying degrees and at different stages. At the venue, you’ll find a seemingly stunning world to see and explore, and it will primarily draw casual PvE gamers. Beneath the beautiful wrapper is a familiar layer of MMO gamers ’expected elements - search, skill, craft, economy, socialization tools - in a highly polished state. The main part of it, both literally and figuratively, is a team called Avys PvP Battlefield, where the gameplay has the most distinctive feature of Aion, the ability of players to fight while flying on the wings. Yet players can enter the abyss only after reaching the 25th level, and before that there is no PVP other than suicide operations in enemy territory. Endgame, on the other hand, focuses on PvP, which can be frustrating for those who don’t enjoy it until more content is launched once they get there. For example, before reaching the 20th level, players may encounter gaps that need to be violated by repetitive searches, indicating a lack of appropriate level content.

The game is by no means the most beautiful graphics I've ever played in MMORPG. The landscapes are simply beautiful and the weather effects are so beautifully done that you can almost feel the scorching heat of the desert sun. Exploration is likely to be one of the best aspects of the game, if further exploration is possible. Unfortunately, the world of Atreia has been sundered and what is left is what separates the two smaller continents and held together by the vast aether field. Each continent has only five territories and one capital city, and since two playable countries are at war with each other, players can't really explore the other continent. Although there is enough search content in the region to cross 50 levels, progress is rather linear and the ability to replay is limited.

But perhaps this compactness has enabled developers to create an MMO that is so beautifully designed that when one finds something to complain about, it almost feels like net-picking. For example, artwork seems to be an integral part of the game, rather than a thought for those who like to do it. You actually get the experience of the game to collect crafts and materials and your final products are comparable to the raindrops so you don’t think it’s a waste of time. The game lets you level up your craft with work orders, which is a great alternative to wasting valuable materials while learning your craft. Player-to-player trades are facilitated by ubiquitous NPC traders, and players can also choose to open a private store if they do not want to pay traders fees. The biggest complaints about peripheral features seem to be related to players ’storage management or lack thereof. Both personal and guild storage can actually be expanded but with increasingly large costs, the game sinks countless bucks. Surprisingly enough, the economy seems to be doing well, at least for now. So far, I haven’t reached a place where I’ve felt the need to crash to get enough money to buy spells or tools.

With the exception of a few rough spots that I had to crush a few repetitive searches to get to the next level, I find the search rather enjoyable. Quite honestly, I’m one of those players who rarely reads the search article, especially if I know that everything here is hot enough to kill ten insert-mob-names. Yet, one’s ownership is still beyond the reach of the average person. For those who absolutely refuse to do so, the game emphasizes important aspects of the narrative using cinematics. I think this is one of the best ways to continue to tell a story in an MMO and continue to use the NCsoft strategy rather effectively. Although there are no 6-person dungeons here, you will feel the need to team up with others for some exploration as they will take you to a crowded area of strong crowd. Of course it is quite possible to avoid these searches, but you will lose the fun of MMO group dynamics. Again, the wheel doesn’t have a new design because you’ll need a permanent tank-healer-DPS combination.

Character customization is quite detailed, with sliders and color palettes let you create your avatar to your liking. All character models are beautiful, perhaps too much in some cases. Yes, it is quite possible to create annoying looking animals but in the end go for different supermodels in the garden. Character animations, in battle and out, are both glamorous and fun, although some may find them annoying. Avatars have a mind of their own and when they are out of battle for more than a few seconds, they start fanning themselves or fishing with empty hands or doing something equally unexpected. When you type something into a chat that AI recognizes, your avatar can surprise you, even flirt with you like crazy. Although I find this ridiculous, some emoticons and war words can be a little over the top and rather annoying.

When the timer cools down, rinse and repeat when you press the battle buttons and show your character its moves, but it is responsive and actually feels quite fun. As far as skills go, there isn’t much room for customization because everyone gets the same skills as everyone else in their class and at least not in the early stages. At higher levels, the stigma system allows you to create 5 slots out of 10 or more stigma stones and 3 that can be searched and unlocked, giving you the ability to enhance other classes of skills. I like its simplicity, but it doesn’t give you too much leeway to set you apart from your peers.

Outside of the abyss, achieving good gear is not so difficult. As I mentioned earlier, artisans can make weapons and armor that are comparable to any random loot drop so there is no need to go on endless hunting expeditions to equip yourself with the best armor. Of course, it takes time and money to set up your craft but at least you know you will get it in the end. What I like about it is that it makes everything accessible to everyone and also makes the playing field equal so that the dominance of PVP is not for everyone who has the best gear but who plays smart. Well, at least initially. Ultimately, the best tools are available only by leaving a huge number of abyss battles.

Two weeks ago, when I wrote the first impression of my game, I thought flying was too much. In fact, humans only use their flying power outside the abyss to collect crafting resources from ether nodes floating in the sky, and this is because most places in Asmodi and Alicia are no-fly zones. However, gliding is also allowed in that area and once you hang it up, all you need is a slightly higher place as a jump-off point and you can get to your destination faster than running there. But then again in this context, flying or gliding is really nothing more than a traveling force or a mount.

Flying warfare on the other hand, a whole new experience. It has added a new level of strategy to the stimulus, challenging and obviously PVP consideration. It’s not just that you have third-level thinking in battle, but your flight time is limited so strategy and quick thinking are really important. The abyss must be something that must be realized. Although the majority of game population is still below 20 levels, it is difficult to predict how PvPvE will play in the end, but the NCSoft team and server seem to be managing well, so that everyone is properly informed about funneling and server count statistics for their selected group of servers.
Judgment
Aion is a beautiful, well-polished, well-presented game that introduces a new battle mechanic with fantasy MMOs, fighting on the wings. In fact, it’s such a fun game that we wish it were more. While it offers something for PvE and PvP-based players, it will only be interesting to those who enjoy both, as the full Aion experience can only be achieved by exploring the abyss and playing when you are strong enough. The developers have actually added a lot of PvE content to the process of localizing it for the North American / European market and the game is likely to grow in that direction but it stands, ultimately the abyss of the heart and soul of the ion. So obviously, if you enjoy both aspects in an MMO, Ion is definitely for you. If you lean towards PvE, you have enough content to enjoy for a few months but longevity can be a problem. Of course there is always a chance that more content will be launched before you get tired and who knows you might enjoy PVP-on-Wings.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been pushing my Asmodian gladiator to go to the abyss first and then to a lot more abyss. I recovered a lot of my experience from 200-20-2010 when I first played Ion, and got a healthy level of nostalgia. There were some problems with the introduction of the classic - and some dubious design decisions - but for the most part, the same original retail version came back. Here is my final thought.

I enjoyed my first week at Classics when everyone was given a free subscription-based Siel’s Aura and gained significant popularity as everyone jumped at the launch. Even after that free weekend is over, the servers start to feel a little empty as many players stop logging in. In my second week, I wanted to experience Ion Classic as a free-to-play player so that all aspects of Ion could feel classic - both with and without a subscription. I think the obvious way to play the classic is to subscribe as they did 12 years ago, so I’ve been active in Seattle’s Arat since then.

Unfortunately, the growing player population of Ion Classic has made it difficult to find PVE groups - especially at lower levels. You can still find some groups that rush to the boss at the Nachsana Training Camp (NTC), the lowest level example is found as soon as you enter the abyss, but very few people are willing to group for anything below it. The player-base of the Ion Classic, at least from my point of view on the Siel server, seems to be the same players who log in every day. This means many group searches at lower levels may be unfinished, at least for a while until you are lucky or return to higher levels.

However, Aion’s most fun can still be found in the abyss, where the PvPvE landscape allows for the most interesting fights. Whenever I find a crowd of adrenaline I find the crowd and I see Elias is not with the gang up. I don’t usually go to PVP - I like to challenge myself in dungeons and expeditions - but Ayon always enables PVP in the abyss and encourages him to play in the abyss and in the abyss. . Of course, being involved by a full-fledged team of Elias is never fun, when I’m just trying to crash, but it’s part of the risk of the abyss. In addition, the abysmal chaos, the blockade of challenging group activity enables literally hundreds of players to fight for strategic landmark control.

The battle didn't really escalate to a level higher than about 20 levels as a gladiator. A few more buttons need to be pressed, but most of them have situational or long cold timers so that the original rotation remains the same. That's right; If it's not broken, don't fix it, what will you do? But repetitive battles combine with repetitive grinds to equalize each other and create for a very dull, pull-out period of gameplay. There is no global cooldown like in Final Fantasy XIV, but the personal coolness of Aon's skills was felt so long that it took me out of the world. This is less noticeable when employed in PVP - especially when you fly dogfights in the sky in abyssal cavities - when you wander further.

Sadly, those moments in PVP are being missed so much now. Without a stream of new players, the lower levels of the Abyss seem empty. Rarely do I see the opposing team running from side to side. Heck, even my fellow Asmodians are a rare sight. During the siege I only see Elias or Asmodians wandering around a lot of the time. These events happen five times a week at specific times, which is great for scheduling, organizing players, and setting blockchain strategies. Each block has more than 50 levels, which makes it really difficult for lower level players to get inside and participate without dying almost immediately.

I wish Ion Classic running bot war. The bot's condition has worsened since the launch of Classic. Only gold sellers (or Ions Kinah sellers) are advertising their sites - as well as bot-driven player stores - but now it is painfully clear when bots are collecting resources or farming. Many players are taking up batting activities in the official Ion Classic forum, or trying to alleviate their grief by how batsmen compete in combat and get the final blow to kill a monster.

Players questioned whether the reported batting activity was also being addressed, to which a member of the Ion community team commented, "After reading this thread I received a call with my initial contact with the team working on this report, and I need to be informed that our discussion It later became clear that we were actively banning bot accounts, with no hard numbers given, such as how many bots .

Sadly, I understand that in today's world just doing a subscription-MMORPG would be tantamount to self-destruction. The free-to-play option is a great appetite, and can be valuable for those who only have an hour or more per day. But if you spend more time than this MMO, it will definitely pay for the subscription. There are many aspects of the Ion Classic that are discarded after the end of the first free hour, such as collecting materials and gaining Abyss points. In denial, Ensisoft West gave me a 90-day code that allowed me to use Ion Classic which gave me a sealed ara buff to play most of my time.

I didn't get a code for Deb Pass or I didn't buy it myself, and I never wanted to buy it. It’s not a valuable proposition for me personally, and it wasn’t originally a part of Ion so I don’t think it deserves any specialty from the classic. I understand that for some, the benefits offered by Dev Pass may be worth an extra 30 30 for every four weeks, but 45 45 per month games can cost a lot more personally.

Aion has obviously seen a lot of big changes in retail since its original 2009 release, including 4 additional classes and a whole new field of exploration, and besides, it was fun to go back to the classic and re-launch version - experience those updates. But it reminds me that MMORPGs have come a long way as a trend over the past decade, and I’m not sure I want them back.

For nostalgia, it's fun to go back in time and rethink the past, but Ion doesn't seem to like the "rethink of the past" classic, as it's "revolving around the classic bandgun" that started World of Warcraft. Apparently by the absolutely insane price for the diva pass, Ion Classic is seen as a cheap cash transfer as a service to fans. For my part, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time at Ion Classic

Aion Overview.

Aion is a feature-rich MMORPG set in the fantasy world of Atreia. Originally requiring a subscription, Ayon went free-to-play on April 11, 2012. The game has received several major updates since its release, including pets, player accommodation and exploring new continents. Unique to Ion is an aerial battle mode known as PvPvE where special teams and two teams fight for control of the castle between themselves and against the NPC Dragon. Ion is known for the most profound customization options available through character creation.

Aion Key Features:

Content Load - The game is updated with large patches, where the level cap is increased and new regions / continents are added.
Comprehensive character creation - One of the most detailed character building processes in MMORPG.
Ton of Feature-Avon has many in-game systems that offer options for mounts, pets, plastic surgery, gender reassignment, occupations and more.
Unique PvPvE - Fight against NPCs in the abyss while fighting your enemy group.
Great Soundtrack - Great music will stay with you as you explore Atria.

What is AION?

Aion (2008) is an MMORPG created by NCSOFT (Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, Wildstar), where players are able to participate in pvp and pve content with players and monsters because they want to secure Atria's future for their group.

Are Avon developers active?
Aion is a traditional themed Eastern MMORPG that summarizes how different constructions are made at different times in different regions and these differences can be as simple as content patches, extensive monetization and even mechanical differences that can give Aion a different look. Play in some areas.

While NA individual client players continue to appreciate Aion's free 2play business model, there are players from the European Union and the Middle East and those who use Steam clients to emphasize monetization and strict restrictions on free. And unsubscribed players.

TLDR: Developers continue to release new content for Aion; However, how long this will last is unknown, especially in light of Avon’s bleeding player base and short-term popularity and limited regional release of Ion Classic.

Editor's comment: Although EU players are a bit annoyed by the experience of the Eo Classic, the March 2021 statement highlights the disadvantages of Gameforge.

“We are still in talks with the NC. Opening a classic server at the moment would feel like running a new game instead of opening a server. This is why the process is slow and at the moment we still have no guarantee that the project will happen. Technical requirements and changes are currently the main topics of discussion. ”

AION dead?

Although the exact size of the ion player base is unknown, it certainly does not work well on Steam and EU servers in general; 2 years ago, when I reviewed Ayon, I was amazed at how active the starter zones were, where there were dozens of players and were actively involved in local and global chat.

After returning to Aion for this review, I encountered exactly 2 players on the largest international server, and desperate to find a bot and a group seen in a group chat, no community was seen.

Counting the first impressions, and as a new player, my first idea would be that it was dying and was not worth my time, which is unfortunate because Ion is one of the oldest MMORPGs in the market and it was doing fairly well until several years ago

Available on AION consoles?
Aion is only available for PC; However, NCsoft has confirmed that they are working on an MMORPG that is related to Avon and will support PC and ninth generation consoles; However, there has been very little in the way of updates since 2018, and until July 2021, we know little about what the MMORPG will look like in 2018.

Does AION have any group finder / matchmaking?
Despite the lack of a traditional themed matchmaking function, Ion Custom Groups provides the ability to start / join manually, which can be searched for similar to the World of Warcraft custom group tool.

While not as intuitive as a simple click or row blackout finder, it serves its purpose; However, this can lead to rejection of new or less gear players when some valuable group activity is activated which is the only province for top players and their friends.

How is the AION community?
As well as being very small, the Ion community is your ideal MMORPG community and it’s not better or worse than the others.

That being said, it’s less social than its size compared to the larger MMORPG community because it rarely stays online most of the day, and when played on an international server, a few people can represent a dozen or more languages online, making it difficult. There is communication and sometimes complete “radio silence”.

How much does it cost to play AION?
Although Ion officially manages Free2Play and NA standalone clients to adhere closely to those policies, EU players or those who prefer Steam clients can stream their items if they don't want to open their wallets and make continuous purchases, and Buff allows them to be competitive. .

While it is possible to “sell your soul” and crush your path to victory, the need for extra time ensures that the method is completely unsuitable for everyone, but the most committed people who are willing to give up ++ hours a week. pvp and pve content.

Does AION have a cash shop?
Aion has a very large and well-stocked cash store, which sells full pay 2 win items and convenient items such as instructive clothing for female characters (including lollipops) and weird sailor clothing for male characters.

Honestly, while browsing the store it gave me a kind of weird feeling and knew that some people would put clothes on a character who looked like a minor; While most Eastern games have a race that matches the little girl trope, they at least make sure the “big girls dress” isn’t decorated.

However, I do not refer to it as an intentional act, but rather an extreme naivety on the part of Ensoft, who happily thinks it will attract unknown visitors.

BJAR and oddly crafted apparel, Ion Sash stores have a plethora of items that are easily classified as Pay 2 Win, such as Endgame Enchantment which is required for high-end PVP and PV content, as well as items that can be easily exchanged. Wealthy players can buy their wealth through games.

What is AION PAY2WIN?
Aion, when technically “paying for convenience”, Aion Pay2win is all in the name, when players can spend 80+ hours per week competitively, at that point, it will be much easier to do a second job and buy everything from the cash store.

Does AION have good graphics?
It had good graphics when Ion did the graphics well and can be called the “black desert” of his time; However, time does not please the ions and even the initial cutsine looks incredibly highly visible with spotted edges and pixelation.

Although much more beautiful than many MMORPGs from 2009 to 200, which took on stylized aesthetics to stay relevant compared to other MMORPGs of the era, Ayon kept all her eggs in one basket and arranged to be "the most beautiful of them all."

Unfortunately, the beauty is fleeting, and the ion is the least attractive and most plastic-featured Eastern MMORPG that is still in active development.

Does Aion have good character customization?
Aion has customizations according to age and enables players to play as kids or bubbles, much more than most editors approve; Yes, Bubbleheads, I was just as surprised as you.

While making my warrior, I was surprised that one of the first outfits I was given could be described as a “terrible man-child sailor,” although I’m sure there’s someone out there who would get a chance to look like John Mulani. From SNL’s “The Admiral” sketch, I probably can’t think of working on any MMORPG other than Ayon.

Can I play AION with a controller?
Although there is no official controller support, many players report that they have been able to play with a controller while using third-party configuration software.

Is Aion World PVP open?
Yes, Ion supports Open-World PVP; However, with Aion’s eroded community, the few players who actively participate in Open-World PvP will be well-made and often improved with cash store content.

Can ions be hard?
Ion is not difficult to flatten, giving players the opportunity to purchase Level 0 level paths or "Fight Support", which basically allows players to go to the AF when their character acts as a bot, which many MMORPGs do not actively discourage but absolutely deny.

While it’s fun to park your character on a farm and go to the AFK for a few hours, it’s so uncompetitive and can easily be used to equal a half-AF, moving from one grind spot to the next.

Does AION have a rich in-game economy?
The economy of law has been incredibly prosperous because of the legitimate ship expansion and the 2 win mechanics provided; Much like Star Wars The Old Republic, players will find their hard-earned purchase price against the Zimbabwean dollar in the mid-2000s.

Does AION have a crafting system?
Yes, ions have a craft system; However, the ban on free player assembly for Steam / EU clients is a matter of complete joy for most of the community.

There are valuable things in handicrafts and it can be extremely rewarding for those who invest their time and money.

Does AION have any single player or story content?
Aion provides players with an average amount of single player content; However, I personally lost interest in its early stages, talking to juveniles and ethnographic animals suitable for sailors.

The way Ayon tells his story is unfortunate because education is pretty good, and with better storytelling, that would be the kind of world I want to explore; As such, I have to give it a hard pass.

How many playable classes are there in AION?
Aion has 6 classes for a total of 12 different gameplay experiences, 2 subclass each; Like most MMORPGs, these classes are roughly divided into 3 main roles (Tank, Support, and DPS), and while the animations are up to date, each class works according to your expectations and overall genre.

Which endgame content is available in AION?
Like everything else in Avon, the endgame is affected no matter what region you play in, with individual NA clients having much more active and lower paid 2 win and end games than the Steam Client / EU variant.

Despite the lack of progressive endgames that have become popular in titles such as World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy 14, Ion provides players with a variety of game activities, including dark and instant PVP.

Can AION continue in 2021?
Overall, the ion is gone long before its origin and is not fit to play in 2021; For NA players or those who can play on NA servers, Ion is a good MMORPG from a past age, and should be enjoyed there but for those who are limited to Steam / EU clients, I can't recommend Ion in 2021. There are many good options available.

Ultima Online was my last big MMORPG.

It shows how old I am with this genre, my last major title was Ultima Online in the early 2000s. So while playing code roulette with the page owner, he kindly gave me a copy of Black Desert to play. Created by South Korean developer Pearl Abyss and published by Kakao Games, this MMORPG is a glorious package while immersed in what I love and care for everyone.

Set in a fantasy sandbox-based state, you must create your hero to live among the people of this region, search thoroughly, and generally exist. The world you explore is a matter of detailed beauty. The developers have spared no effort to make this game absolutely amazing. I've heard the graphics around, and the character customization options, and ignored it as a fanboy nonsense. This was stupid, because it is the deepest custom alternative to any MMORPG on the market today. If that’s what drives your boat towards online games, you’ll think it’s coming soon for your Christmas and birthday.

MMORPG is big business, is there room for others?

Many of these games exploit every part of its fans while awake, how a new venture goes to the top and the players of its competitors

Everything looks great, but it doesn't look right!

All of these freedom and quality game mechanics are great in theory, but in reality they all feel a bit shaky. I didn’t feel comfortable with any of them, I was always shaking when trying to do most of the work because the work always seemed to stop. It seemed like it was trying too hard, yet you never got the result you wanted. Like a schoolboy who desperately wants to answer a question to prove his worth, but everyone knows he doesn't know the answer. It should have been bright, weird, instead it just seemed weird.

Like others in the genre, it shares several familiar features; PVE and PVP battles, big event battles, level caps, guilds and grinding (wow! Grind is real in this game).

War - PVE or PVP?

The fighting mechanic is extremely smooth and the experience is enjoyable, but it has flaws when you combine it with a skill tree. It applies that combos are used to get the best results, so tap on the buttons to make sure you can make the most of each situation. You must take the time to get used to the subtle point of the game, but fortunately in the Black Desert, time is by your side. Starting a PVE setup is good for players who want to advance the level gain, this can be done enough, although it is against the principle of the game. Black Desert wants you to master your time and move forward with your approach to improve your character. The developers want you to enjoy your time online with the community and not rush for the final game. We will discuss the last game or lack thereof soon. PVP is good, yet tough. The word “ass and handover” is running through my mind. One of my bugbears in this genre is PVP and the grind and frustration that comes with it. Nowadays I can clean up wherever possible, which limits my exposure to certain parts of the game that other players like.

No last game, what's the point?

Since my time there, I’ve never discovered a last game, although colleagues claimed it involved the PVP aspect of the title, so it’s no surprise. If you ignore the endpoint, you will discover that you have plenty of experience to fulfill your time; Enough to fight, climb beautiful areas and keep me alive. Gamers who invest a lot of time may feel differently. As a casual MMORPG player (if it ever oxymoron!) I didn’t have enough time to do everything like the day before.

For all its swallowing, what the developers got is an aesthetic feature. Graphically spectacular, it pushes high quality PCs to their limits and looks great on the Series X. The diversity of the biome enlivens the world, the structures look unique and the large castles are arrogant and wonderful. If you combine it with atmospheric music and cracking sound effects, you have a game recipe that takes you easily to its fantasy setting. This is why it is unfortunate that the feeling of being immersed in the annoying nature of impressive gaming mechanics is so easily erased.

Is it really time to drown?

Replay value is not a problem for a very popular MMORPG. Once it gets to your nails, you will be destroyed. The term time sync is a short explanation, you don't lose hours in it, you lose days. Once you start the game, time just fades. You forget all your worries when you crash for assets, push that XP to achieve the highest level cap.

Are the hours of sleep and the years of my life worth it? Probably not, but I had a fun time, mostly. Each class you choose is enjoyable for the situation in a new and unique way. The PVE / PVP argument is as predictable as ever, and you will sit comfortably on one side or the other. The sandbox and touches of reality were an interesting idea if there were any flaws. I like how your efforts were met in the game rewards and that means each role has a meaning and use. The fight is good, even if you consider the annoyance and confusion of the combo system with the skill tree. I recommend this, but it will consume your life. If you want to take a unique MMORPG with beautiful audio and stunning graphics, look no further than Black Desert.
